Our Approach
When Transition Partnerships was founded in 1991 we wrote 100 words to set out our approach. It still expresses our aims.
“Our particular strength is in helping individuals and organisations to manage their own development and change.
We achieve this by working with your challenges and opportunities
- coaching you to develop a strong sense of purpose and direction
- encouraging you to be open to new ways of thinking and to make commitments to action
- working with you during implementation in identifying the processes and learning that need to take place - and in discovering how to achieve required outcomes
- enabling you to focus on the processes, relationships and actions that make best use of innovative ideas and possibilities, seeking breakthroughs in thinking and action wherever appropriate.”
To provide more in-depth information about our approach, this section also includes:
- The philosophies which inform our work
- Some of the fundamentals which underlie our approach
- Outline map of the ideas that shape our work
- A diagram showing the different frames of meaning through which we work with individuals and organisations
- All this is 'work in progress' - we would welcome your joining us in exploring and expanding our understanding and skills. To join in the debate email your views to us at
and we will respond and include you in the broader network.
